Vote and Win a book!

For some reason this week I haven't got an author interview and contest for you all! Maybe it was my oversight or just because nobody sent their interview questions back? Who knows! However I decided that whatever the reason there is no need for you guys to go without. So there is a contest this week with a little bit of a difference.

To enter the contest you have to vote in the poll (in the sidebar ---> ) and comment letting me know which new release you are looking forward to at the moment. You can post more than one book if you can't decide but to have a valid entry you must mention at least one book you are looking forward to.

No New Release = No Entry.

When you vote in the poll choose carefully!!! The book that gets the most votes will be the prize!!! So if you do win you may end up with a book you didn't vote for!

Earn another entry for each place you link this contest on the net. Make sure you add links here for me to confirm your entries!

You can also earn extra entries by emailing your friends about the contest. Just make sure you send a copy of your email or receipt to me at Amberkatzes_book_blog at gmx dot net.

If there are more than 100 votes (I have set the poll to allow one vote per person...and hope it works!) there will be a second winner who will win the book with the second highest vote. If there are more than 500 votes a third who will win the third highest voted book. So encourage your friends to come vote.

All three books have been read and reviewed on Amberkatze's Book Blog sometime over the last month. They are all registered on Bookcrossing.com. You do not need to be a Bookcrosser to enter the contest but please note that there will be an ID number inside the book. I don't expect anyone to sign up to Bookcrossing or journal the book to enter the contest. I register all my books.

The contest will stay open until Sunday 17th of May 2009 4pm CET and the winner will be picked by a randomizer. Entrants should check back to see if they have won. I do not hunt down winners and will pick new winners for any prizes not claimed within 7 days.

If you are claiming a prize, have emailed me and have not heard back before the 7 day limit is up then post a comment here on the blog. Your email may get sucked into my spam filter.

Have fun!

Go here to vote in the poll

The books you could win!

Of the ones you have posted, probably the Lori Handeland one, but I haven't read the first one in the series, so it's not one of my top picks at the moment.

What I'm really looking forward to is the new LKH novel coming out. I can't wait to get that at the library.

The new release I'm looking forward to is Julie E. Czerneda's Rift in the Sky:Stratification #3...it hasn't come out yet...does that still count as a new release? If not, then I'm going to go with Devon Monk's Magic in the Blood...which I'm going off to read now. :)
