Monthly Giveaway Results!

I haven't been around much again lately!  Real work is annoying sometimes! ;)

Anyway it is time to see which book won the Monthly Giveaway and which lucky person has won a copy of the winning book!

What is the Monthly Giveaway? 

Every month you have the chance to vote for which book you want to win from my five favourite reads from last month!

I pick five of my favourite reads from the last month then you guys get to vote  for the book you want to win or the one you think deserves to win!

So here are the results!


Hounded by Kevin Hearne came in last with only 5% of the votes.  I think you have all read this one already so it didn't really have a chance against the other books on offer.  However if you haven't read this series yet, do it asap!

In fourth place with just under 13% of the vote was Broken Homes by Ben Aaronovitch.  This is a great series and if you haven't had the pleasure yet then I highly recommend listening to this one on Audiobook.

The last Anna Strong book, Blood Bond by Jeanne C. Stein, came in at 3rd place.  A brilliant series I am sad to see end but I am happy that Anna got a rest at last.  She deserves it!  Make sure you check this one out.

With the amazing author line up in the anthology Carniepunk it isn't a surprise that this book did so well!  2nd place with 25% of the votes is a great success if you ask me!

The one I knew that would win!  Omens by Kelley Armstrong comes out in poll position in the poll with a whopping 42% of the vote!  A great debut in a new series and I can't wait for the next part.  Congrats!

Monthly Giveway Results & Winner Announcement!

August is already coming to an end but the July Monthly Giveaway has just ended!  So a new monthly Giveaway will be coming along soon!  However right now we need to see who won the last one!

I had some good choices this month and I am pretty sure there was something for everyone!

So which book got the most votes?  Who has won a copy of the winning book?  Let's find out!

How does the Monthly Giveaway work? 

I pick five of my favourite reads from the last month (sorry no ARCs are included unless they have already been released!) then you guys go to the poll and vote for the book you want to win or the one you think deserves to win! Remember! You may not actually win the book you voted for.

Here are the results :

In last place is Deadly Forecast by Victoria Laurie with only 5.5% of the vote.  This is a good read if you have been following the series.  However against the other books on offer I was sure it wouldn't get many votes, and it didn't.


Fourth place with 11% of the votes goes to Tarnished and Torn (A Witchcraft Mystery #5) by Juliet Blackwell.  I am not sure but I think a cozy mystery, paranormal or otherwise, has never won the Monthly Giveaway.


I am surprised that White Trash Zombie Apocalypse by Diana Rowland only made it to third place!  I love this series and it is amazingly funny and thrilling.  However you guys only gave it 13% of the vote because the other books on offer looked better!


It was close but Fifth Grave Past the Light by Darynda Jones came in at second place.  I was not expecting that at all!  But if you are all fans of the series I guess you have bought and read this one already.


So first place this month goes to Midnight Frost by Jennifer Estep!  Well done!  Jennifer is one of my all time favourite authors and I love it when her books win the Monthly Giveaway!

The Monthly Giveaway is over and I have to apologise for not posting the results sooner!  I didn't forget!  I just didn't have time!  Finally my holidays have started and I hope I will be able to find time to read and relax!  Let's hope I have some time left to blog about it!

Pumped for Murder by Elaine Viets came in last with only 5% of the vote!


Usually the e-book comes in last but Bone Shop by T. A. Pratt managed to get 4th place with nearly 12% of the votes.


I was pretty sure that most of you had already read Grave Dance by Kalayna Price but it still got third place with 22% of the votes.


With 24% of the vote, Bled & Breakfast by Michelle Rowen was the runner-up this month!


And the winner this month with nearly 40% of the votes is Enthralled: Paranormal Diversions by Various!   This is a great anthology and I am really happy that you all wanted to win a copy!  If you check the widget below you can see if you won or not!

Winner Announcement : Jesse Petersen Giveaway!

Last week I had author Jesse Petersen as a guest here on Amberkatze's Book Blog.  I loved her book Club Monstrosity, and also enjoyed the sequel,  Monsters in Your Neighborhood.

Jesse was very kindly giving away a Kindle copy of Club Monstrosity!    One lucky winner will get to read this wonderful book!

Anyway I had five super choices on offer for this Monthly Giveaway!! It is now time to see who has won a copy of one of my favourite reads in May?  Oh and we need to see which book won!

Drop Dead Beauty (A Ghost Dusters Mystery #5) by Wendy Roberts came in last!  Poor thing!  I really love this series and I am sure the fact it is only available as an e-book puts a lot of people off!


Fourth place goes to Full Blooded (Jessica McClain #1) by Amanda Carlson.  This is a new series for me and I really enjoyed this debut book.  Hopefully you will all check it out even if you didn't want to win it.


One of the most original books I have read in a long time only made it to third place. The Shambling Guide to New York City (The Shambling Guides #1) by Mur Lafferty is a must read and I can't wait for the next part in this wonderful new series.


There was a bit of a fight for the top three places this month and everytime I checked there was a different book in the lead.  However now that the vote is over and done with A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses (Half Moon Hollow #2) by Molly Harper only managed to hold on to second place.  This is also a must read book and if you haven't check out this author yet then you should be ashamed of yourself! ;)


So that means that this months winner is Dead Man's Deal (The Asylum Tales #2) 
by Jocelynn Drake!  I actually didn't expect anything else to win.  This is a surperb series and I can not recommend it enough.  Well done Jocelynn!

Here are the results for this months giveaway!


Wuthering Frights by H.P. Mallory came in last with only 8.11% of the vote.   I hope this bad result is due to one of two factors.  1) You have all read this series already or/and 2) The other books on offer were just too good to pass up on.


Dead Silence by Kimberly Derting came in at fourth place.  13.5% of the vote wanted this book to win but the top three books just didn't give this one a chance.


Sharp by Alex Hughes holds the third place with 18.92% of the votes.  I really wanted this one to win but it seems you guys wanted the other books more.  I just hope that you will all go and check out this series anyway.  It rocks!

Kitty Rocks the House by Carrie Vaughn comes in at second place and I wasn't expecting that.  It seems there are still a lot of Kitty fans out there who don't run out and buy the new releases.  27.03% of the vote shows you guys really wanted Kitty to win!


Death, Doom & Detention by Darynda Jones is the winner this month with 32.34% of the votes.  I can't say I am surprised by this result because Darynda always seems to win my Monthly Giveaway when she is on the poll.

Monthly Giveaway Results & Winner Announcement!

The Monthly Giveaway is over and it is time for me to share the results with you guys!

Thanks for all the comments and entries!  I hope you will all come back for the next Monthly Giveaways!  After all it doesn't cost anything to enter!

The poll reults are showing and I can now tell you which book one this months vote!

Play with Fire and Midnight at the Oasis by Justin Gustainis came in last! I could cry about this result! Some of best books I read last month and only 6% of you wanted to win them! Boooo!!!! ;)

Joint third place goes to Pooka In My Pantry by R.L. Naquin and Peach Pies and Alibis by Ellery Adams!  Both amazing reads but with only 10% of the vote each it wasn't enough to win!

The Winter Witch by Paula Brackston came in second place.  I was really hoping this one would win because it was my real, without a doubt, best read last month.  22% of the vote was good but there was another book in the race that just couldn't be beat.

This months winner with an astounding 51% of the vote is Burned by Patricia Briggs.  I knew this book would win and I was right.  I just didn't expect it to get over half of the votes!  Well done!
