123) Carpe Corpus by Rachel Caine

Morganville used to be a town where humans and vampires co-existed in relative peace. Then the evil vampire Bishop arrived and everything changed. Now the town is being held hostage but Morganville won't go down without a fight. There are enough people against Bishop but they know he will play dirty.

The heat is on for Claire Danvers and her friends. While they would prefer to have all the undead gone forever they have to team up with them to bring down Bishop. Lies, deceit and betrayal all around makes it hard for Claire to know who to believe and trust. What she does believe is that Bishop needs to put out of business even if it means giving Morganville back to another vampire power.

The Morganville Vampire series has been thrilling from the start and book six just keeps the momentum. Morganville is a dark and scary town but I can't stop myself from going back for a visit. The story and characters are first class and although this is technically a young adult series I highly recommend it to any lovers of the paranormal urban fantasy genre.

The pace of this book is fast and furious, the plot evolves at a steady pace and the story ends on a high. What comes next is Fade Out, which is due out in November. I am eager to read what happens next in this series and I can't wait for my next trip to Morganville.

I haven't read much YA fantasy/paranormals, but this is one I enjoy! I started with reading her Weather books and so glad I tried these out too! This new one is on my list!

I know this series is geared as YA, but I think it's for anyone who likes a well told story with action and fab characters. Can't wait to get to this one.
