103) A Glimpse of Evil by Victoria Laurie

The Blurb -

Professional psychic Abigail Cooper is about to discover that some cold cases are better off dead...

As the FBI's newest Civilian Profiler, Abby Cooper is using her powers of intuition to help solve a backlog of the bureau's cold cases. But when she's the only one who's convinced that several separate cold cases are related, she'll have to call on every intuitive bone in her body before she's the one put on ice...

What Did I Think -

Abby is back on track and this time as part of an FBI team to solve cold cases. Although it is a little strange that all of Abby's friends seem to have moved to Texas as well it certainly wouldn't be a good read if they weren't all around to help her get into and out of trouble. The up and down relationship problems do get a little tedious at times but the psychic mystery solving shines through to make this an absolute must read.

I have been following Abby for quite a while now and this newest edition to the series is one of the best for a while. I am not sure what to think about the ending of this one though. With so much change already taking place in Abby's life I wonder why the author is taking her even further into the depths of the FBI. After all the poor girl has just got settled in her new job. Give her some more cases to work with and leave her be for a few months.

All in all this is a must read for any lovers of the series because this is one of the best Abby books yet. If you haven't already tried this series then you really need to give it a go. This is a Cozy mystery with a psychic who is like the best friend you always wanted. A must read because it is unusual and enjoyable read because of the situations Abby manages to get herself into. Give it a try!

It's been a while since reading my last Abby Cooper...something about a wedding party and telling fortunes...and the book didn't do it for me, so I shied away for a while, but not given up. She's still on the WWBL to get and this review gives me hope. Thanks!

I have this on my TBR pile! Can't wait to read it! Your review makes me consider bumping it up to the top of the pile more! Great review!

I haven't read any of her books, but I like the way this one sounds. Could I read them out of order?

@ Vickie - I lost hope a little a few books ago...some things were just too silly or strange. Things are back on track though but there are still a few things that seem a little over the top sometimes.

@ Jessica - I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did!

@ Moonsanity - I guess you can read them out of order. Abby does have an ongoing story but it isn't the main story. However on the other hand I never like to read books out of order...
