108) Born to Bite by Lynsay Sands

Blurb -

Legend has it that Armand Argeneau is a killer in the bedroom . . .

But with all three of his late wives meeting unfortunate and untimely ends, is this sexy immortal a lover or a murderer? That's what Eshe d'Aureus intends to find out. As an enforcer, it's her job to bring rogue vampires to justice, even if the rogue in question makes her blood race red hot.

Armand knew she was trouble the moment Eshe roared into town on her motorcycle, clad in tight black leather. She claims she's hiding from dangerous fiends, though he suspects something more. But after three wives who've all had trouble remaining, well, undead, Armand is reluctant to open his heart again. Then strange accidents start to happen, each deadlier than the last, and Armand realizes he may not have much time to prove he's a lover, not a slayer.

My Review -

The new Argeneau novel, is in more ways than one, very hot! The time has come for Armand's story to be told and the tiny pieces of a puzzle that have been placed throughout the series finally come together. Did Armand kill his wives and can they find out who set up his son Nicholas? This is the book that explains it all and gives the fans some closure on the subject.

Of course the story isn't just about Armand's life but also another vampire, Eshe. Romance and mystery mix together once again to tell a tale of two vampires meeting up for the first time and finding out that they are literally made for each other. As in all the previous twelve books in this series the idea is the same. There is however nothing boring or monotonous about these books. Lynsay always manages to surprise by writing a new, unique and exciting story each time.

Not only can I praise the author for her fascinating stories filled with humour and love but I also have to give her some praise for keeping track of all the information in each of the previous books. Born to Bite is book number thirteen in the Argeneau series and although I now know the family very well, I am sure keeping the facts in order isn't an easy task. This series is definitely one to be enjoyed in order but they also stand alone pretty well if you see one and want to give it a try.

As long as Lynsay keeps writing about her vampires then I for one will keep reading. Book 14 is due out later this year and there is no need for the series to stop there. This is one of the best long running Paranormal series out there and one of the reasons I got into the genre. I can find no fault with this series and it is one that every vampire lover needs to check out if they haven't already.

Born to Bite will be released at the end of this month. To find out more about the book and the author go here and read my interview with Lynsay.

I'm really looking forward to this one. This series always has me cracking up. I do prefer the Argeneau over the Rogue Hunter books.
