130) Eat Slay Love by Jesse Petersen

The Blurb :

Sarah and David have survived the zombie apocalypse. They stood side by side and fought the undead, mad scientists, and even bionic monsters until the unthinkable happened. A zombie bite. But not even that could stop them. Now, with a possible cure in hand, they're headed east, looking for a safe zone behind the rumored "Wall." They're feeling pretty optimistic.

That is until Dave stops sleeping and starts lifting huge objects.

Eat. Slay. Love.

Because they haven't got a prayer.

My Review :

I think it is clear that I am enjoying the Living with the Dead series. I have read all three books within a couple of months and that doesn't happen very often. I am not a huge zombie fan but this series is fun, witty and could totally happen. A cross between the Walking Dead and Jericho this would make one cool TV show.

Sarah and David have made it to the third book. It hasn't been easy for them but now they have a cure and the plan is to take it to the 'Wall' and hopefully save the day. Unfortunately there are a few undead obstacles in their way. Add to that a journalist who wants to record everything and you have the makings of another fun packed zombie killing story.

In this third and last book the author manages to keep the hits coming and as a result keeps things fast-paced and exciting. The story flows and captures your attention within pages and doesn't let go till the end. The main characters are a delight to follow and you can only grow to love them even more as they continue to fight back against not only the undead but the strange and weird humans that have been left behind.

Jesse Petersen has managed to create a situation 'that could happen' and then make you wonder how you would cope yourself if you found yourself in the same situation. Dripping in humour this isn't as dead serious and heavy as it could have been. Instead this is an amusing paranormal read that I can highly recommend trying.

Nice review Amber, but not a series for me. Really dislike zombies.

I don't read many Zombie books - but I did read the first of this series. For me it was a sleeper. At first I didn't think I'd like it, then I kept reading and ended up enjoying it very much. Bought the second and started to read it, but I've been distracted by other books very easily. Even so, I bought the third book, just in case I feel in the mood for a Jesse marathon.
