9) Vampire Most Wanted by Lynsay Sands

The Blurb :

For Basha Argeneau, anything is better than facing her estranged family. Even hiding out in sweltering southern California. But when a sexy immortal in black shows up determined to bring her back to the clan, she'll do anything to keep far, far away from the past she can't outrun.

Marcus Notte isn't here to play games—especially not with someone as crazy as the infamous blonde. Asked by Lucian Argeneau to bring her back for questioning, Marcus is determined to carry out Lucian's request—no matter how the seductive little mind-reading vamp feels about it.

Basha doesn't mind fighting fire with fire, especially with a hot immortal involved. But if he wants to take her away, he'll have to catch her first . . .

My Thoughts :

This book should be accompanied by a party!  Twenty books into the series and things are still going strong, are still original and every book has an amazing unique plot.  Anyone who has read any or all of the Argeneau books will know what I am talking about.  Lynsay Sands has managed to keep the series going this long because despite the background story for her 'vampires' being the same she always puts a different set of characters in the main role for each book and then weaves a magical love/mystery story around them.  Each time there is something new while catching glimpses of how the rest of the family are doing.  Clever and addictive.

Marco is up this time around and it is his job to find a long lost family member.  Things don't go as planned and it is mainly due to Basha's life experiences since she went missing all those years ago.  The story unfolds slowly with small pieces of information about Basha's past being added along the way.  It isn't until the end that you find out exactly what she has been through and what has been done to her.  It is a tragic story which, as in all the Argeneau book, has a happy ending.

I don't think I could ever get bored of this series.  I love the concept and enjoy reading about this wonderful family.  They have good values, huge hearts and loads of fun.  The humour, the romance and the continuing storyline will keep me coming back for more and more.  As long as Lynsay keeps writing these amazing stories I will keep reading them and I think there are a lot more to come.

So make sure you celebrate the release of the twentieth installment in the Argeneau Vampire series by buying this boo when it releases in two weeks time.  Make sure you pre-order this one if you are a fan.  This series is always on my pre-order list!

This is one of the few series that are an auto buy for me without ever reading a blurb or review. Like you it amazes me that this series is still fresh and new 20 books into it.

@Aurian - They are easy but fun reads. I would happily read them all again if I had time...maybe one day!

@Lisa - Exactly! I hope there are 20 more to go!
