4) Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls by Victoria Laurie

The Blurb -

When M.J. Holliday and the crew of her cable TV show, Ghoul Getters, venture to the haunted ruins of Dunlow Castle in Ireland, drawn by the legend of hidden treasure, they hope the road will rise up to meet them, that the wind will always be at their backs-and that the resident phantom won't push them off a cliff. If they treasure their lives, M.J. and her ghost busters need to get the drop on the menacing phantom...

My Thoughts -

Everyone loves a good ghost story and that is exactly what this series delivers. Ghouls, Ghouls, Ghouls is the fifth Ghost Hunter mystery and the series keeps getting stronger and scarier. The series continues with the TV Show angle in this new addition and I have to say I quiet like it. Reading about ghosts from around the world is interesting and it adds a lot more history and depth to the whole story.

While the ghostly side of this series can be very spooky and a little bit scary, the banter between the characters always brings a refreshing break to the suspense and tension. The way M.J and Gil behave with each other always makes me giggle a little. While the romance between M.J and Heath seems to grow slowly making me eager for the next in the series.

This may be a cozy mystery but it is a cozy with a huge paranormal twist. The author knows what she is writing about and obviously does a lot of research. I have to say that the plot this time around was extremely well thought out and I really look forward to more in the series if it continues like this. If you like anything ghostly then you have to try this series. I love it!
