109) Spider's Revenge by Jennifer Estep

The Blurb :

Old habits die hard. And I plan on murdering someone before the night is through.

Killing used to be my regular gig, after all. Gin Blanco, aka the Spider, assassin-for-hire. And I was very good at it. Now, I’m ready to make the one hit that truly matters: Mab Monroe, the dangerous Fire elemental who murdered my family when I was thirteen.

Oh, I don’t think the mission will be easy, but turns out it’s a bit more problematic than expected. The bitch knows I’m coming for her. So now I’m up against the army of lethal bounty hunters she hired to track me down. She also put a price on my baby sister’s head. Keeping Bria safe is my first priority. Taking Mab out is a close second.

Good thing I’ve got my powerful Stone and Ice magic — and my irresistible lover Owen Grayson — to watch my back. This battle has been years in the making, and there’s a chance I won’t survive. But if I’m going down, then Mab’s coming with me...no matter what I have to do to make that happen.

My Review :

Spider’s Revenge is the fifth book in the Elemental Assassin series and it will surprise and shock everyone as much as it did me! Because that is what this series always manages to do. This is what Jennifer Estep never fails to deliver. An exciting and thrilling filled five star read!

The first chapter alone was enough to have me holding my breath in suspense. No pussy footing around, no slight introduction, this author gives you want you want as soon as you start. All the way through the compelling story it is hard to put down the book for too long. After all Jennifer Estep has found the right recipe and she is cooking up a tasty storm as far as I am concerned.

Superb characters, plots and an amazing writing style are just a few of the special qualities this author brings with her into this series. The depth, detail, originality and emotions are what will make you keep reading each time. Even the last paragraphs and sentence are delicious. They may mark the end of the book but they always leave me dying for more!

I adore this series and it is a must read for me. So many authors have excited me with their new and original ideas, many have kept me happy for the first two or three books in a series but Jennifer Estep just keeps excelling in her storylines and always manages to write something even more fantastic that last time. This fifth book is what a lot of fans have been waiting for but it also leaves a hint of being the end. I hope however that Gin Blanco will be back. I believe there is still a lot of story out there for her to tell.

Super Paranormal Urban Fantasy and certainly one of the best in the genre right now. This is a seris that I can only highly recommend to all. When Spider's Revenge comes out next month it is a must read for all fans. I don't want to give anything away but just think about the title and what it could mean for Gin. Isn't that enough to have to running to the book store or pre-ordering a copy?

I'm holding off a bit longer to read the ARC we received but I can't wait to finally get to it. I love Gin and I don't say that about many heroines.

Thanks for the review. I have a couple of this series but haven't worked them into being read yet - hope to do so soon.
