102) Dirty Rotten Tendrils by Kate Collins

The Blurb :

When high-powered lawyer Ken "the Lip" Lipinski is found dead from a suspicious overdose, florist and amateur sleuth Abby Knight finds it hard to swallow that his opposing counsel—and her old boss—is the murderer.

My Thoughts :

I am a little behind on this cozy mystery series and seeing as I was taking part in a read-a-thon, I decided to get some dusty books off my bookshelf to read instead of grabbing the Kindle. It was nice to visit Abby again. Her crazy family, her loyal workers and her special guy. This time around there was some interesting developments in Abby's relationship and a horrible cliffhanger ending regarding their future.

Dirty Rotten Tendrils is the tenth book in the Flower Shop Mysteries and I have enjoyed each and every one of them. The author manages to keep the plot unique, exciting and worth reading and the characters extremely likable. I am quite invested in this series and can't wait to read the next ones. I am very curious to see how things develop for Abby and Marco as well as what happens with her shop and family.

A nice cozy series and one that you can definitely get your teeth into. The flower aspect isn't too overwhelming and the author offers some depth to the whole crime area of the story.

I have only read the first one, and was a bit disappointed by it, but I have the rest of the series on my shelves. I am thinking of making cozy mysteries my purse book for the rest of the year, hoping to read some more of those.
