96) Even White Trash Zombies Get The Blues by Diana Rowland

The blurb :

Angel Crawford is finally starting to get used to life as a brain-eating zombie, but her problems are far from over. Her felony record is coming back to haunt her, more zombie hunters are popping up, and she's beginning to wonder if her hunky cop-boyfriend is involved with the zombie mafia. Yeah, that's right--the zombie mafia.
Throw in a secret lab and a lot of conspiracy, and Angel's going to need all of her brainpower--and maybe a brain smoothie as well--in order to get through it without falling apart.

My Review :

It feels like I have been waiting forever for this sequel to the amazing 'My Life as a White Trash Zombie'. I absolutely loved the debut in this new series by Diana Rowland which was surprising because I am not a huge zombie fan. This series is however turning out to be awesome! I hope we don't have to wait as long for book three!

So what can you expect from book two? Well just as much goodness as there was in the first book but now Angel is really starting to get her life back together. If she hadn't of been turned into a zombie I doubt she would be still on the straight and narrow but the girl is really doing her best and it shows. Unfortunately for her it seems that trouble is always going to find her. It makes life interesting and it makes for super reading.

Angel hasn't had an easy life and her honest and realistic attitude and troubles really make her extremely likable. Her cool job makes the eating of brains easier but also manages once again to get her mixed up in a murder mystery. I loved every moment I spent reading Angel's second adventure and could hardly bring myself to put the book down for a break, work or anything. Totally addictive.

Diana Rowland has had many jobs during her working life and her first hand experience really makes her books glow. The White Trash Zombie series is no different and the depth and detail she adds to her writing really makes her books even more exceptional and unique. Diana has also been blessed with a fantastic amount of cover art luck with this second book in the series getting an even better cover than the first (didn't think that was possible).

In 'Even White Trash Zombies Get The Blues' the funny and witty characters add a tasty treat to the well written story and the plot will grab you till the very end and leave you dying for more. I can only highly recommend trying this crazy but special series and give it a go. This one is going to be in my top ten reads of 2012 and I am sure will make it to the top three.
