My Thoughts :
I have been following this series since it started and I am really happy that Deadtown has made it to the fifth book. Hellhound is one of the best so far and sees Mab coming to Boston and Victory solving some Hag problems. It is fast paced and thrilling. I couldn't get enough and picked it up whenever I had the chance.
This is a great unique Paranormal Urban Fantasy series and I have been enjoying Victory's story as she tries to keep Boston safe. Her family problems, struggles and history make up for quite a bit of the plot but it is the place they call Deadtown that keeps the story packed full of the paranormal. This time around there is some closure on some fronts but there are also some new questions/problems that evolve. There is a nasty little piece of the puzzle that is left over for next time and some interesting developments that I can't wait to see explored in book number six.
Fast, furious and thrilling this is a series you really need to read from the beginning. I love Victory and her friends and always can't wait to see what happens next. The depth added to the story by involving so much of Victory's family means this read is even more enjoyable. The paranormal delights inside make this a special and unforgettable read. The background of the paranormal elements and the Welsh connection is just a dream come true for me, A Welsh girl.
If you are a Kim Harrison or Jeaniene Frost lover than you will absolutely adore the Deadtown series. I can only highly recommend and praise this series and hope that people pick it up. It rocks and I can't wait for the next installment. This is a pre-order series for me and I can only hope the author writes another couple of books in this series and also delights us with another exceptionally good Paranormal Urban Fantasy series sometime soon.
