My Thoughts :

I did take a little break from the series but that was mainly due to Christmas and not having any time to listen to an audio book.  However this sixteenth installment was easy to listen to while relaxing the last few days and it was great to finally get this far into the story.   Murder of a Stacked Librarian is essentially the book any fan of the series has been waiting for.  Skye is getting married and it is obvious to anyone who has read any of the books that not even her wedding will save her from a murder mystery to solve.  The only twist is that she didn't find the body this time!

Of course her Groom is on the case and Skye is determined to help him solve the murder so he can get to the altar in time and go on their Honeymoon.  With her preparations for the wedding taking up a lot of her time, Skye, finds herself torn but this time around she is definitely pre-occupied and not as intense as usual.

The plot was, as always, good and it was nice to see the couple finally tie the knot.  I couldn't believe that Skye didn't put two and two together and figure out what was coming in regards to her Honeymoon but I am sure it will be a great story!  I am certain it will be the topic of the next installment.

A great series that I am enjoying immensely.  I love the audio versions and only have two more to listen to and then I will be up to date.  Yes!  I have them both on my Audible app reading to listen to so expect an end to my Scumble River Mystery addiction soon!  However it will most likely mean that I will find another series to get addicted to!

My Thoughts :

A new year and it is off to a wonderful start as far as reading is concerned! This seventh installment in the Haunted Guest House series has been calling to me since it was released and the pre-order popped up on my Kindle.  I finally managed to settle down with it on New Year's Day and finished it off this morning.

As always this was a story full of ghosts and murder.  With the help of the resident ghosts, Alison once again, manages to solve the murder mystery and keep her Guest House running.  This time around there is a musical aspect to the mystery and a 'famous' ghost or two pop in for a visit and jamming session.

I really enjoy this series and was surprised by the conclusion of the mystery.  However I wasn't surprised by the mini mystery of Alison's sneezing and it was kind of sad to see her miss all the clues.  What was also sad is the lack of development and conversation between Alison and her guy.  She finally has a relationship and it was practically ignored.

This is a Guest House I would love to visit and despite the lack of food being served I am sure it is a great place to take a break.  I look forward to the next mystery in the series and hope that Alison's relationship gets a little further along and maybe a little time jump wouldn't be too bad.  I wouldn't mind seeing Alison's daughter grow up a couple of years.

Well worth reading if you like paranormals and a good cozy mystery.  Nothing scary or spooky here, just a well written plot and an interesting bunch of characters.
