My Thoughts :
I read the first in this series, A Werewolf in Manhattan, when I was in New York last year. I really enjoyed the story and have been really eager to read more about this werewolf world. However there are always too many books and not enough time and it has been a year since I read the first book in the series.
So when I saw this novella (#1.5 in the series) I couldn't resist and it brought back all the memories of how much I enjoyed the debut book in the Wild About You series. I can't promise that I will get to the second book any quicker now but I still have it on my radar and my wishlist. Hopefully one day soon I will get the chance to catch up and see what happens to Quentin and Nadia as well as Adian and Emma.
If you haven't had the pleasure of trying this series then think of it as Lynsay Sands but with Werewolves instead of Vampires. The relationship and romance are of course the main content and conclusion but the who, why, when and how all make the story just that little bit more interesting, exciting and readable.
Last place goes to Tempest's Fury by Nicole Peeler. This book only got 11.94% of the votes! I guess this one is just too far into a series for you guys to want!
When I checked the poll Thirteen by Kelley Armstrong was always top of the poll. Exactly where I expected the book to be. However as things ended, with 29.85% of the votes, this last in the series came in at second place!
If it wasn't enough of a surprise to see the last Women of the Otherworld book only making it to #2 in the poll I have to say I never expected this winner! A Werewolf in Manhattan by Vicki Lewis Thompson has won this months giveaway with 31.34% of the votes! Wow and well done!

My Thoughts :
When in Manhattan, read about Manhattan! That was my reason for starting this book while on holiday. I couldn't resist reading a story based in the city I was visiting. It seemed like the perfect read and I was right. Even if only the first third of the book was actually set in Manhattan.
Vicki Lewis Thompson is a relatively new author to me. I think this is only the second book I have read by the writer even though she has been on my radar for a very long time. I have to say I am impressed so far. Not too lovey dovey but totally paranormal her books remind me of Lynsay Sands and Molly Harper. With some nice humour in there for good measure there isn't much wrong with this the debut in the Wild About You series.
I liked the characters in this book and instantly adored Emma. Who wouldn't like a normal girl who writes about werewolves for a living and lives in Manhattan. Aidan didn't take much getting used to either and I was cheering for them both the whole way through. It was fun seeing where things would take the pair who were so obviously meant to be a couple.
The style is right and the content is good. There will be more books by this author going on my wishlist and I look forward to reading them.
Sexy witch Anica Revere has one rule: never under any circumstances get involved with a man before telling him she's a witch. Still, what's one silly rule? Especially when the guy in question is as cute as Jasper Danes. But when Anica and Jasper have a spat, she breaks an ever bigger rule of witchcraft and turns him into a cat. Bad news for him. Worse for her...
My Review :
I don't believe I have ever read anything by this author before but I have had a few of her books on my wishlist/bookshelf for a while. This one was actually on my bookshelf gathering dust when I picked it up for a read-a-thon I took part in over the weekend. The cover looked fun and I was in the mood for something a little more girly and romantic. I definitely picked the right book when I reached for Blonde with a Wand!
This wasn't chick-lit paranormal but more paranormal romance. It was clear from the start that things were going to go wrong between Anica and Jasper but I didn't expect the level headed witch to turn him into a cat. Despite thinking that the author couldn't keep the cat thing going for the whole book, she did! Was it boring or repetitive? No! It was actually pretty fun and very cute. I enjoyed it!
The romance wasn't too over the top and there were a few hot scenes to keep things interesting. The plot did mainly revolve around the couple but there were some other nice characters included to stop me getting bored with their story. I especially liked the neighbour and sister. Also the witch aspect was pretty cool and there were hints of other paranormals around. I wonder if there will be more about this in future books?
Now I am looking forward to reading the second (and only?) book in the Babes on Brooms series which I believe is about Anica's sister. I already added it to my wishlist as well as the first in the series about the other two witches who helped Anica solve her problem. It seems they already have their own series. Looking forward to checking out more books by this author.
