109) Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow

The Real World is a scary place full of monsters that Dru Anderson knows way too much about. Sixteen-years-old and an orphan she is a tough girl who has taken down her fair share of bad guys. She maybe armed and dangerous but she needs someone to trust. Someone who can help her because she always had her dad but now she has nobody.

She has always been strange but now stranger things are happening. Always travelling from one place to another with her father to hunt the things that go bump in the night. Dru hasn't had a chance to fit in anywhere and it doesn't look like this new place is going to be any different.

Alone and frightened, Dru going to have to be strong and use all her training she learnt to hunt to get away from town and from the things that have decided to hunt her right back. What are the chances that Dru will survive to see her next birthday? Or even the next day? Not high.

We all know Lili St. Crow (nice new way of writing the name by the way!) and we all know that young adults novels are all the rage these days. Well thank god there is no age limit on reading the new rush of teen novels because they are all turning out to be amazing.

Strange Angels is the start of a new series and one that I am definitely following. This was an amazing start to the series and had me gripped from start to finish. If you like Zoey and The House of the Night series by P.C & Kristen Cast then you will love this dark young adult paranormal urban fantasy with the hunter Dru. Oh and if you like the TV show Supernatural you will see alot of similarities that will make the summer break from the show a little easier to handle.

Luckily the wait to the second book in this series isn't a long one. Betrayals is due out in November and I am off to add it to my pre-order wishlist so I don't forget!
