When you're desperate for monry and looking for adventure you can end up doing some very silly things. This is how Andrew Mayhem, a married father of two, ends up agreeing to find a key buried with a body in a shallow grave for twenty thousand dollars.
When the body actually turns out to be alive and armed, Andrew and his friend Roger are suddenly mixed up with something extremely strange and dangerous. A killer is playing a game with Andrew and there doesn't seem to be any rules. All Andrew knows is that the killer has a sick sense of humour and has something to do with a company of film makers called Ghoulish Delights.
This story started off fun and the laughs continued till the end. This was a murder mystery with some horror mixed in but all in all this was a comedy. Andrew Mayhem is a likable character who obviously shouldn't be left looking after his kids or have any influence on them at all. He is the kind of guy that always manages to get himself into trouble without trying but mostly he is just cool.
Very entertaining and unique this is an author I will be checking out more closely. I know he has some other books out and I am eager to put them on my wishlist and hopefully read them someday. This was something different and I enjoyed it.
