187) Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

If you are expecting me to write a blurb about this book then think again. Anyone who doesn't know anything about Twilight has taken a wrong turn and is visiting the wrong site. However you maybe wondering why I am reviewing Twilight after all these years and hype? Well I actually read the book and the rest of the saga a while back. This time I am revisiting the series via audio book.

I expected the Twilight movie to be different from the book but when it actually came to watching the film I found that I wasn't sure anymore what really did happen. Since reading Twilight I have definitely read 500+ books so of course I have forgotten quite a bit about the actual events that took place before the movie people came along and butchered it. So I have been dying to go back and read the series again but just never find the time.

The answer came to me as the evenings and mornings started getting too cold and dark to read a book. It is that time of the year to get the audio books back out. Twilight was the first one that grabbed my attention and it has taken me about a week to listen to the whole thing while travelling to and from work everyday.

This audio is well read and the narrator sounds exactly like I expected Bella to sound. The chapters are split into smaller tracks which make it easier to pause in emergencies. I really enjoyed listening to this audio book and found myself listening to it at every opportunity. This was a perfect way to visit Twilight again in its full form and have already filled my ipod with New Moon. Now I will be ready in time for the new movie ;)

Really? I read the books first then got the audio and couldn't stand the narrator. Seriously almost killed the series for me.

Every time I start listening to an audio I think 'Eww this voice is horrible' and this one was no exception. Maybe I just get used to the voices? but this was one voice that I really started to like as things progressed.

Every day I go to work by the sub. I cant read in there because of its movments and noises. After buyin my Audible my life have changed. I hear my favorite magazines and books, and hear it through my Ipod. By the way - its very nice to fall asleep with as well..
I bought it through a product reviews web site (consumer Product Reviews), and I got a Audible Coupons from them: two free Audiobook dowloads. Here is the URL: http://www.consumer-productreviews.com/audio-books/audible-audio-books.html

When I looked at the Twilight series and saw this was like 2000 and more pages - I went straight to Audible ..

And I never regretted it one moment..

The narrator is the best one i have heard so far and I have listen to quite a few audio book - Her name is Illiyan Kadusin (not sure about the spelling) but she is fantastic...

She sounds exactly like how I assume Bella would - with all the right nuances and attitude...

That was my first audio book and nobody told me that listening would really take that much longer than reading - at least no one told my kids to shut up while I was listening...

Happy listening my dear.

Unlike Oded_F, I liked the voice from the start...

I'm not sure I could sit through the audio book. I had a hard enough time reading the thing ... listening to it probably wouldn't change my opinion much.
