I hope you will try out the series and will enjoy it as much as I did. For now get to know the author a little better with this guest blog. Read till the end for your chance to win a copy of Artist's new release and maybe even a Barnes & Noble Gift Card!!
---------------------------
Thanks for the invite, I’m honored to be here today. Let me just say that I’m super excited about the release of the second book in the Mystyx series. Yes, I was over-the-top excited about Manifest’s release last August, this time it’s magnified. Why? Because Sasha’s definitely not Krystal.
When I first planned this series I took a couple of weeks to really think about the characters I wanted to portray. I’m an avid studier of people. I like to watch the way they move, talk, interact, and behave because it gives me an idea of the uniqueness of each personality. With young adults the variances are unlimited. For instance, I knew Krystal would be hard to cling to, but her personal situation and thoughts dictated that she be exactly what she was and not apologize for it. Because generally, people don’t apologize for acting the way they deem appropriate. It’s a thin line between what someone believes is appropriate behavior and how others perceive that behavior.
In Mystify, we visit Sasha, a stronger, feistier protagonist with issues of her own. While on the outside it appears Sasha has it all, on the inside she feels like there’s still so much lacking in her life. This too, I think is a general concept that a number of adults as well as young adults experience. So I was happy to get the chance to explore her life and emotions.
The Mystyx will always have their own personal journey melded into the journey they face together as a team.
I believe this is a crucial point to the story because you cannot effectively be a part of a team unless you’re sure of who you are and what you’re part is. So Sasha’s on her journey in Mystify while the Darkness is stepping up its game. I love delving deeper into the world of the Darkness and peeling back the layers that will ultimately culminate in a final kick-ass battle! The Mystyx are tested as a group as well, their friendship is pushed to the limits when lies and betrayals begin to surface.
To celebrate the release of Mystify I’m giving away a copy of the book! To enter the giveaway I’m asking the question: What do you think is the most important trait in a friend? Post your answers on this blog to be entered to win. Also, if you post your answers on my Facebook or Twitter Pages you’ll be eligible to win a book and a Barnes & Noble Gift Card!

Definitely loyalty, but it must be tempered with common sense too, so that they know when adults should be informed of something that is going to get a friend hurt or killed.

I have to say loyality, in that they must not talk about you behind your back. You can't feel confidant talking to someone you can't trust.

I am a follower and email subscriber. I think the most important thing in a friendship is always being there for your friend no matter what. Being honest, truthful and loyal. Please enter me in contest. Tore923@aol.com
I think honesty is the most important trait. If you can't be honest with your friend, there's no point being friends.
I think that trust and loyalty are the most important traits. You don't have to tell them everything about yourself, and vice versa, but they should be able to trust that you would be there for them if they were in need, and wouldn't share the important things they tell you with others.

I think there are 2 things that are required for friendship--honesty and loyalty--and it has to go both ways.

Trust and loyalty are very important in a friendship, but he/she also has to be there for you if you really need her/him, even if you don't speak eachother every week. To listen, be a shoulder to cry on when necessary, and to give comfort.

Trust, honesty and loyalty are obviously all important, but what about comfort. If I'm not comfortable with someone, then they wouldn't make a great friend in my book.

Honesty is definitely the most important trait in a friend. It can tear apart a friendship faster than anything else.
Honesty and trust was the first things that came to mind when I saw the question.
A good friend is about being there through both good and bad times.

definitely loyalty - i recently had the hard lesson that its better to have 1 or 2 true loyal friends then lots of friends that will turn on you when the going gets tough

for me it's honesty & loyalty. if the dress i'm wearing right now is not looking good at me, my best friend should tell me. and if i did sth completely wrong, she should tell me as well. but she should have my back, even when she disapproves of what i've done.
thanks for the giveaway. following you via gfc.

I wanted to have a really original answer, but the most important quality to me in a friend is honesty.
I think a friend should be able to look at all sides in a battle I'm having and tell me where I'm wrong, if and when I'm wrong.
Congrats on the series.
honestly its hard to pick just one some people think friends mean quantity not quality
most important trait for me would have to be hands down total loyalty where they wont ditch you when things get too hard

Loyalty!!! Last year my BF told a lie to 2 other friends & they USED me one last time, never asked if "the lie" was true and did a mass exodus from my life...this is a MUST have with TRUE friends!!!

Honesty. I've had people around me all of my life who were dishonest. I'd value that above all else.
