79) Locke & Key: Welcome to Lovecraft by Joe Hill

The Blurb :

Locke & Key tells of Keyhouse, an unlikely New England mansion, with fantastic doors that transform all who dare to walk through them.... and home to a hate-filled and relentless creature that will not rest until it forces open the most terrible door of them all...!

My Thoughts :

To start things off I am pretty sure that I didn't receive the whole first volume of this graphic novel. Thirty-five pages and definitely not enough of the story to leave me satisfied or have grabbed my interest in reading the rest of the graphic novel series. If anything I really would like to read the original novel if one exists as I do believe this author has amazing talent. Just like his father...

The graphics were nice but the way the story was told just confused me. I didn't know who was who or what was going on. Jumping from the past to the present left me dizzy and I wish there had been a little more text explaining the situation that the pictures obviously weren't getting across. Well drawn but lacking story details this wasn't one of the better graphic novels that I have tried.
