The bLurb :
Graffiti comes to life in the dark heart of Atlanta’s oldest cemetery, slaying one of the city’s best loved vampires before the eyes of his friend Dakota Frost. Deadly magick is at work on the city’s walls, challenging even the amazing power of Dakota’s tattoos to contain it. The hungry, graffiti magick loves to kill, and the Edgeworld is no longer safe from its own kind.
Dakota begins a harrowing journey to save those she loves and to discover the truth behind the spreading graffiti-even if that truth offends the vampires, alienates the werekin and creates police suspicion of her every action.
Saving Atlanta may cost her everything, including custody of her “adopted” weretiger daughter, Cinnamon. But failure is not an option. If the graffiti isn’t stopped, Cinnamon could be the next victim.
My Review :
I really loved the debut in this series, Frost Moon, so I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of the second book. The unusual and unique concept that caught my interest in Frost Moon was quickly reignited within the first few pages. Graffiti magick was not where I expected things to go but it was a shocking and exciting surprise. I was hooked and couldn't wait to see how things played out.
However as the story unfolded I found myself wondering when things would finally come to an end. It seemed like the story was dragging and every time I thought the end was near something else happened to keep it going. By the last quarter of the book I was ready to just give up. With so many characters involved I was confused and tired. It was hard to keep up with who was who and what was happening altogether. Such a promising start dived into a bit of a mess.
I do however have to give the author a huge thumbs up where concept is involved. There is nothing wrong with the whole Skindancer idea and I love the paranormals he has created. I also have to add that I love Dakota and Cinnamon. They are amazing characters and they will suck me into trying book number three when it comes out.
Yes, I will keep checking out this series. This second book may have been a slight disappointment towards the end but it has some very huge plus points in its favour. So while I won't rush to read book three when it releases, I will still find a copy eventually and read it. Maybe this second book was just the bad apple. It happens often enough.
To round this one up. A great concept, super characters and the paranormal elements make this worthy of reading. However this second part isn't as good as the first and despite a superb first half the second half was too full, long and confusing. Worth checking out but make sure you have time to read this.

Hmm a new series for me, sure sounds good. Sorry the second half disappointed, but I guess the originality still wins out.
