112) Married with Zombies by Jesse Petersen

The Blurb :

Meet Sarah and David.

Once upon a time they met and fell in love. But now they're on the verge of divorce and going to couples' counseling. On a routine trip to their counselor, they notice a few odd things - the lack of cars on the highway, the missing security guard, and the fact that their counselor, Dr. Kelly, is ripping out her previous client's throat.

Meet the Zombies.

Now, Sarah and David are fighting for survival in the middle of the zombie apocalypse. But, just because there are zombies, doesn't mean your other problems go away. If the zombies don't eat their brains, they might just kill each other.

My Thoughts :

I have had this book on my wishlist for a while and I finally got given a copy a couple of weeks ago for my Birthday. So I didn't want to wait much longer to read, what looked like, a fun read. With two more books in the series I already felt I was way behind and couldn't believe I may have missed out on something good. So I started reading and finished the book in record time.

This was your typical zombie apocalypse story with the usual clichés but Jesse Petersen has managed to break the monotony and do something different. It was quite amusing to read about Sarah and David. The way they were walking around thinking only about their couples counselling and maybe getting a divorce when BAM! they are suddenly fighting for their lives. The arguments, the decisions and the emotions were all the ones you would expecte but it was all so well written and extremely witty that there was no way I could hate anything about this book.

Now I am eager to read book two and see what happens next. I have book three already but I can tell that this is going to be best read in order. Oh and this is definitely something worth reading. Think Maryjanice Davidson (the early years) but with zombies and not so fashion/girly and you have what Jesse Petersen has invented. Quick, fun and full of action this is definitely one of my favourite zombie books so far.

This looks like a fun zombie read. Very different I'll say that not many people would have put marriage counselling and zombies in the same book. lol

I've got the next 2 books in the series but I was wondering if I would have to read the first. Guess I'll just go ahead and get the first book before I start the other 2 cause this does sound like a fun series

I really enjoyed this one as well when I read it. I've been meaning to read the 2nd book but haven't gotten around to it yet. Glad to hear that you enjoyed this one!

For the most part, I flat out refuse to read zombie books because they are pretty disgusting, but this one sounded good and I got it on a special ebook deal. I really liked it and am planning to read the rest but it hasn't changed my mind about zombie books in general LOL.
