Melanie Cooper and Angie DeLaura's Fairy Tale Cupcakes bakery is gearing up for Valentine's Day. Unfortunately someone has iced Baxter Malloy on his first date with Mel's mother. Now Mom's a suspect, and Mel and Angie need to find time around frosting to dig into the man's shady past and discover who served him his just desserts.
My Thoughts :
I really enjoyed the first book in this series and it has taken me a while to get around to this second part. However this tasty treat of a cozy mystery was worth the wait and maybe I need to catch up more with this series sooner rather than later.
If you like eating cupcakes, love baking them or even enjoy both past times then you will definitely find this series attractive. If you are also a cozy mystery reader then you have to grab this series as soon as possible. Two books in and I am very happy with the characters, plot, style and of course the recipes in the back.
I know there are other baking/cupcake cozies out there but why not add one more to your reading list? I have! You can never have too many cupcakes and this series is really establishing itself to be one of the best. I can't wait to see what happens in book three and to find out how Mel gets on with Joe, what Angie's decision was and how Tate will deal with the whole thing. Also it will be very interesting to see what murder, madness and mayhem manages to weave itself into their lifes.
Give this one a taste! You are gonna want to try the others!
