Dead is not an Option by Marlene Perez (Full Review)

The Blurb -

It’s springtime of senior year, and psychic sleuth Daisy Giordano is preparing to say goodbye to Nightshade High. But no college acceptance letters have arrived yet, and she’s beginning to worry about where she’ll end up come fall—and if it will be anywhere near her boyfriend, Ryan. But that’s not the only uncertainty Daisy’s dealing with. There’s a vamps-versus-shifters war going on in Nightshade, and things are so tense that there is talk of canceling the prom. The conflict is carrying over to the Giordano home, since Rose and Daisy are both dating werewolves and Poppy’s new boyfriend is a vampire.

Can the paranormal community in Nightshade finally find peace? And will Daisy and her friends survive graduation? All of these questions and more are answered in the explosive final installment in the Dead Is series.

My Review -

I read this book back in January but seeing as this book doesn't release until the 2nd of May I have held my full review back until now.

***************

This fifth book in the 'Dead Is' series comes out in May. I was extremely happy to read this newest addition before it came out because I absolutely love this series! Marlene Perez has really built up an fantastic series that both young and old will enjoy. Things have really started to come together in this newest release and fans of the series will not be disappointed and there are some very interesting developments.

For Daisy there is a few surprises in Dead is not an Option but mostly this book seems to tie up quite a few loose ends. Finally we find out who was behind her dad's kidnapping but there is more in store for the residents of Nightside before that mystery is solved. The problems between the vamps and weres don't help matters though and it looks like things are going to explode before anyone gets any answers.

With everything done and dusted I hope that this wasn't the last we will see of Daisy and Nightshade! I love the mystery with the paranormal element and the cool sleuthing is fun and exciting to read. Daisy is ready to go to college and I am ready to follow her. I want more from this special paranormal packed town. I Highly recommend reading this series and not just to Young Adults. If you like cozy mysteries you will also enjoy this.
