My Review :
I read this ARC a month or two ago because I couldn't wait. Especially as the author hinted that something happens that people may not be happy about. I have to say it didn't bother me that much. I expected something worse! It was actually a relief to find it was only that!
Widow's Web is the seventh Elemental Assassin book and it holds its own against the previous books making it another spectacular story in the series. There is a lot of history told in respect to Owen and it is interesting to find out more about the man that Gin has been spending so much time with. Also Gin's problem with retirement. Well it isn't like she goes looking for trouble but it is always fun to find out what will get thrown at her this time.
The style and content of this series is just amazing. There is so much depth and darkness to the life of Gin but she still manages to be witty and joke around. I love Gin like a best friend and she would be one great best friend to have. This feeling is something Jennifer Estep has managed to create in this well built world and series. Unique in so many ways but familiar in others. This is one of my favourite series of all times and I wouldn't want to be without it.
If you haven't already tried this series then you MUST! This is the best Urban Fantasy series going! Fans of the series will be happy to see Owen's past finally come out into the open and they will be surprised at what the author has done this time around. It will leave you, as always, dying for more.
I am in love with this author! Jennifer Estep keeps writing amazing books and making the series even better.
